ॐ Welcome

Yoga is an ancient scientific system designed to rekindle our connection to our true selves through the use of pranayama, asanas, Ayurveda, and meditation.

Hold up. That sounds incredibly boring. Let me try to rephrase myself: You rock. You likely forgot that somewhere along the long road of life. Let me help you remember.

The cornerstone to my yogic approach is in self acceptance. The truth of the matter is, it’s impossible to be truly stoked and overflowing with love if you don’t first completely and unconditionally love and accept yourself. We’ve all heard it and read it and see it all over twitter and facebook. In fact, it might even be a little bit annoying by now. Why? Because it really isn’t that simple. In fact, it’s probably the hardest thing on this Earth to do. Obviously so or everyone would be walking around blissed out, right? Our minds are conditioned to operate in fear -it’s what got the meat and berries on the table. It takes conscious awareness and practice to work ourselves out of a state of fear and into a state of joy. And from here we can begin to focus on what’s real.

It’s not about standing on your head or twisting your body into some whack position. It’s about going into and feeling your body, nurturing a connection with it, and strengthening your focus so that you can get right down to what’s important -Love.  Unconditional love…for yourself! And there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s were it starts. As our old pal Gandhi says, “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

Regular practice of going into our bodies, listening, feeling, accepting and experiencing fine tunes our brains to be able to more readily access the core of our beings, and in turn reestablish that bond with our true, perfect selves.
